Bamboo 12 Piece Tunisian Crochet Set
About The 12 Pc Tunisian Crochet Set
Do you crochet?
If you do well you can also use these Tunisian crochet hooks. I Crochet & Knit but knit the Portuguese way & as an advance Portuguese knitter I use a Single point needle in one hand and a crochet hook in the other.
Whilst I recognise that you may not knit Portuguese way if you crochet using a Tunisian Crochet hook you will find your stitches don’t fall off from being on the needle and cord. There also wonderful crocheting large items like afghans & Jumpers, By having a cord attached to your crochet hook you will in fact find crocheting larger items that are crocheted flat or in the round easier as you have a cord to hold all those stitches there in one place.
If you are nervous about trying this method have a look at all the YouTube videos on how to use a Tunisian Crochet Hook for either left or right handed people. There are quite a few out there to watch I know this as I watch quite a lot of them myself as I progressed through all my crocheting classes and advancements which to be honest to is a natural progression.
Now as to these hooks, they are a full Tunisian crochet set and have just over a meter of cord attached to the hook, so completing a jumper, blanket, towel etc is an easy beginner pattern project for you on these hooks.
They are made from bamboo and will last you for many years of use. Now as to caring & using your Tunisian crochet hooks, just unwrap them let them hang over a doorknob & straighten out and there ready to use. If your traveling & there rolled up often soak the cord in warm water then hang them first, then use.
As to care its simple at least once a year wipe your bamboo needles with a cloth with oil attached to it. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a good wood oil or a vegetable oil as long as you do it near the end of summer of when your hooks are dry that is the main thing. Let the oil soak in overnight wipe off if needed. (I've never yet had to wipe off, but there's always a first time).
If your hook tips split a little because there dried out sand with a light sandpaper or nail file & then oil, wipe and use. As long as you remember your needles to need a little care they will last you a lifetime!
Now as to the business side of things and all of the specifications I have a list here on the end of this note for you about Tunisian
